Hawthorne Bridge Paper Cut

Hawthorne Bridge is another of Portland’s wonderful steel bridges.  This one is a truss bridge with a vertical lift that spans the Willamette River. It is the oldest vertical-lift bridge in operation in the United States.  The bank is a favorite spot for the Canada geese who like to hang out and people watch!
